list of household uses for baking soda

Baking soda is an all-natural ingredient, and with today’s rising cost of groceries and supplies, a great tool to stock up on. Here is a list of just a few things you can do with a box of baking soda:

household uses for baking soda

  1. Neutralizes odor in your refrigerator or closet
  2. Makes a mild scouring powder with a little water
  3. Deodorizes laundry and shoes
  4. Deodorizes body (underarms, etc.)
  5. Cleans teeth, freshens breath
  6. Cleanses and unclogs drains
  7. Keeps ants away when mixed with equal parts salt
  8. Smothers a fire
  9. Relieves itching from poison ivy and bug bites when added to bathwater
  10. Makes a great oven cleaner when mixed with water to form a paste

Of course, my favorite use for baking soda is in a delicious batch of cookies. I’m off to use some of that baking soda now!
