list of uses for an ice cream cone

I’ve always been a sugar-cone-kind-of-girl, but recently I’ve discovered new reasons to love the plain-old, regular cones. They are flat-bottomed so they are easy to set down without making a mess. They are portable – the perfect size for little hands. They are edible (and pretty tasty, I must admit). Really, anything delicious, whether sweet or salty, can be put into an ice cream cone.

uses for ice cream cones

  1. Cut vegetables
  2. Grapes
  3. Cherries
  4. Berries
  5. Trail mix
  6. Popcorn
  7. Pretzel sticks
  8. M&Ms
  9. Gummy candies
  10. Cupcake – you can bake them right into the cones

You can even spoon some delicious dips down into the bottom of your cone. Mayonnaise, yogurt, hummus, and guacamole for the veggies and cream cheese or yogurt for the fruit.

Now that’s a fabulous list.Bits of Kit Kats are also yummy!

Oh crud I goofed… the witch's hat needs to be made with a sugar cone due to the shape! (Duh!) For the clown cone take a little frosting and place it on the front of the hat and attach a couple of m&ms or Skittles or something like that to it.

And the other ideas can be done equally as well with either kind of cone!

Love the list. I also like to use those Silicone cupcake things with feet (or without) for fun snacks at home or in my daughter’s lunch box. FUN!! I need to restock my pantry with some ice cream cones — I may have to pack one in my daughter’s lunch box with trail mix inside. You’ll have to stop by my blog from yesterday, it’s list (sort-of) that you might like!

a witch’s hat on a halloween cupcake…a clown’s hat on a cupcake… a tower on a castle Birthday cake… “paint” with peanut or soybean butter and roll in birdseed to create edible bird feeder (place on a plate in the wintertime and watch the birds and squirrels peck away!)
