list of reasons election day was an emotional day

No matter who you were voting for and standing behind in the race for President, Super Tuesday was likely an emotional day for many Americans, and indeed for people around the world.

  1. Campaigns have been aimed at us for the past 2 years. They have been a huge part of our daily existence, and it has finally come to an end.
  2. As I stood in line on Tuesday, waiting to cast my ballot for this very exciting Presidential race, I felt suddenly emotional thinking about this opportunity given to me as a citizen of my country. Here was a long line of people waiting to take advantage of their right to say whom they would like to see as the next President.
  3. Many people voting had made an investment of some sort into their choice of candidate. By the end of the day, those people either felt great joy and relief or possible stress and disappointment.
  4. I think everyone, no matter their choice for President, is hoping for a change in the current economical trend. We know we need the state of the U.S., and the world for that matter, to improve and now that the election is over, we can move on and hope and pray for some positive things to happen.
  5. We will all remember the day that the first African-American was elected the next President of the United States! It is a great day for Americans of EVERY color and race.

Well said. It is an amazing day, indeed, and one I’m so grateful to be a part of. Even if only in a small way.
