There are a few phrases that I have used over the years that make me stop and think. Unfortunately, they also seem to lose effectiveness the more they are said.
- If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
- You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.
- Actions speak louder than words.
- The grass is always greener on the other side.
- All good things come to those who wait.
- Slow and steady wins the race.
- Don’t put off ’til tomorrow what can be done today.
- When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
- Honesty is the best policy.
- Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do to you.
