list of fall projects for the home

Fall, with all of its beauty, means that winter is right around the corner.  I don’t know if that puts the majority of you in a panic like it does for us up here in Maine, but that means we have only a couple of months before the snows come and all outdoor projects will come to a halt.  Here is a good list of things to add to your Seasonal Project List for Fall to keep you busy in the shorter days and on the weekends.

Raking Leaves

  • Rake the leaves from the yard.
  • Put outdoor toys in storage.
  • Clear the leaves from the gutters.
  • Have furnace/chimney cleaned and serviced.
  • Put up storm windows.
  • Winterize sprinklers and indoor pipes.
  • Have carpets cleaned for fresh holiday festivities.
  • Prepare for patio/deck winter storage.
  • Give landscaping a good pruning.

Unless you are in South Alabama. :-) Our outdoor toys get to stay outside as the kids can pretty much play out there all year long. :-) Here it is still mid-nineties and let me tell you, I am about sick of it! :-)
