Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 | ePlanners, meal planning | 3 Responses“The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Valentine’s Day is nearly here and whether you are preparing a meal for your one true love or for your whole family, one thing is for sure – a thoughtfully prepared meal is a terrific way to let them know how much you value them. Check out some of my favorite valentine recipe finds from around the web. Click on the title of each article to read each in full.

Valentine’s Day Cranberry Tart
A little tart, but very sweet. Cranberries are just the right color for this holiday.

What makes these extra special are valentine-colored sugar crystals.
Strawberry-Goat Cheese Brushchetta
Show your love with these cheery and inviting breakfast or afternoon snacks. Easy to make and pretty to look at
Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
What kind of transplanted Mainer would I be if I didn’t support the whoopie pie. These red cake sandwiches are perfectly for a winter picnic. No utensils necessary.

I love to use a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut slices of dark pumpernickel bread, coat the heart-shaped slices with a mixture of cream cheese and sour cream, sprinkle on some capers, top each one with pieces of smoked salmon and sprinkle on some fresh chopped dill. YUM! Goes great with champagne and a roaring fire!
