After 2 1/2 weeks of being away from home, it feels good to be back. We had a wonderful time with good friends in the Washington, D.C., area and a terrific time with family from all sides in Kansas. And in between it all, we drove – and drove and drove and drove. Now that I am home, I have a list (go figure) a mile long of the things that I need to do – both to catch up from my long trip and to prepare for my parents’ and sister’s family’s arrival to my home in about a week. Here a sneak peek of my list.
- unpack completely and put it all away
- laundry
- groceries – I’m talking Old Mother Hubbard bare.
- thank yous – I need to purchase some nice Thank You cards to send to all of the people who were kind enough to host us on our long trip.
- go back to work
- company clean – You know, stuff you don’t normally do (I don’t normally do, anyway) like clean the windows, mop all of the floors, and clean behind the beds.
- plan menu & itinerary for guests
- begin to prepare my back-to-school list
- write new blog posts, pieces for The L.I.S.T., and new back to school lists for ListPlanIt!
