Breakfast is an important part of the day, but it is easy to neglect a meal that tends to be rushed and mundane. Here is a list of quick and easy breakfast foods to keep in mind when looking for more diversity without sacrificing nutrition.
- Dry cereal (the old standby)
- Hot cereal (oatmeal, malt-o-meal, grits)
- Yogurt & graham cracker sticks (use the sticks as a spoon for the yogurt or even peanut butter)
- Peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich
- Toast (bread, bagel, or english muffin) with jam or honey
- Granola bar
- Fruit salad (canned/fresh fruit sweetened with orange juice)
- Hard-boiled eggs (prepared the night before)
- Breakfast pizza (english muffin with pizza sauce, slice of mozzarella, slice of pepperoni or ham)
- BLT (use leftover bacon, slices of tomato, and prepared lettuce on toasted bread)
