I know there are still 2 weeks until we celebrate Thanksgiving, but it is never too soon to show gratitude for the good things in one’s life. This has been a year of events in our family that I hope will never be repeated but that I will remember forever. Trey and I have had very easy lives with very few bumps in the road. This year we have experienced quite a little hill, which I hope we are on the downhill slope now. I know this all sounds vague and mysterious. I promise there will be several blog posts in the future about this topic, but for now, it is really very helpful for me to dwell on the positives in my life (and there are many).

- I have a great husband. We married at 21 and have now been married for 14 years. We’ve experienced a lot together.
- I have 3 wonderfully healthy children. They are smart and friendly and polite. All traits I had really hoped for in my offspring.
- We live in Maine, which was a dream for many years before it actually became a reality. We are determined to hold fast!
- I still have 2 lovely Grandmas who live in their own homes. They both call and write me regularly (more regularly than me, sad to say).
- My parents are in great health. They plan to bring their 5th wheel to Maine again this summer for a good long while.
- I have 1 terrific sister, who has given me 2 fabulous nephews.
- I have my own business, which has been a dream of mine all of my life. I love working on it every day.
- This sounds silly, but I am thankful for my overstuffed armchair, matching ottoman, and my laptop. I could spend all day right here, doing just this!
- I have friends from all over the country: people I have known in each of the places I’ve lived, and also wonderful women I have met in the blogosphere.
- You! Thank you for taking the time to visit List Mama Blog. I am honored that so many people have deemed my little spot here a worthy place to stop.
