With young children who are constantly growing, garage sales are a fun and inexpensive way to fill their closets and dressers, find useful equipment, and stock up on toys for special occasions.
Members to ListPlanIt will find the lists they need to organize a killer yard sale in Home Management. Not yet a member? Join today for just $5 and get organized!
- Look through the newspaper and circle sales that look appropriate for your needs.
- Be sure to check out Craigslist.org for more sales in your area.
- Stop at an ATM to get some cash. Stay within budget. Just because things are cheap does not mean you should spend more than you have.
- Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and good walking shoes.
- If you are taking children, be sure to bring a stroller or a backpack to contain them, if possible.
- I know it is Saturday, but if you want to find the best stuff, you are going to have to get moving! Sales start early and the “early bird gets the worm!”
- Don’t be afraid to ask a lower price than what the item is marked.
- Bring your own bags. Many people are not prepared to give you a bag after purchase.
- Look around, and then move on! There are lots of sales to get to.
- Have fun! Feel good about your bargains!

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I'm actually doing what you were talking about for my sons room but I'm using staples. They're going to be on the back side though. I dont like when they're showing. I love your blog! I'm definitely adding to my list. Be sure to keep checking mine as well. I have a lot of stuff coming up!
We love going to garage sales. I'm so happy the weather has warmed a bit. More opportunity for those Saturday morning sales.
Love this! What a fun blog!
I want to see a list of the reasons why you like lists as much as I do!!!! I will start working on mine right now....so glad to see that someone else loves and appreciates lists!!!! I was ridiculed for making lists at a young age but it has just always worked for me! check out my site at http://www.nomommysperfect.com a new site that promotes the concept... "embrace motherhood and keep it real" hope it brings a smile to your face...put it on your list of things to do....check it out!
Jen, Thank you for visiting my blog. As far as Entrecard, I have only been on for 3 days. I know very little, just what I read, not what I actually understand what to do!
