list of tasks to include on your spring cleaning list

It is just about that time. The time when we begin to feel the need to shake off the cobwebs of winter (I mean figuratively, but possibly literally). If it is warm enough where you live to open up the house to let it air, then it is time to begin your spring cleaning. Spring cleaning does not usually mean mopping the floor or other tasks that are supposed to be regular throughout the year, but it means doing things that you might not otherwise include in your daily, weekly, or even monthly chores. Here are a few things that you might want to remember to add to your spring cleaning list.

  • Wipe down the blades of your fans/ceiling fans.
  • Clean outside of windows.
  • Vacuum refrigerator coils.
  • Organize closets (especially seasonal clothing).
  • Launder curtains and/or shower curtains.
  • Thoroughly clean inside and outside of kitchen cabinets.
  • Clean refrigerator (including top) and oven.
  • Remove old/unnecessary items from refrigerator door/bulletin board.
  • Take bedspreads to the cleaner.
  • Clean every surface of the interior of your car.

What tasks would you recommend adding to our spring cleaning lists? Be sure to check out ListPlanIt.com‘s article about Spring Cleaning, but with a slightly different angle – Clean Springing.

  • Prepare for painting a room or two...scrub walls and trim, maybe do a little sanding where needed...buy some great paint...this will help motivate you so that the first warm day when you can open the windows you will be itching to get started.

  • Argh! Spring cleaning. I truly hate this time of year for spring cleaning.

  • Please don't have an anxiety attack! Just a list of some things that we don't always think of. Nice to have a reason once a year to do some of them.
