Just got back from our weekend trip to Boston with a 2-night stay. 5 people in 2 double beds! Not easy (especially with a 2-year-old who never stops flipping and flopping). I learned a few things about choosing a kid-friendly hotel from this trip. Here are some suggestions for the next time you are considering booking a hotel for a family trip.
- Is it in a safe location?
- Does it have convenient parking?
- Or, is it convenient to public transportation?
- Does it have a restaurant?
- Or, are the restaurants in close proximity?
- Does it have a swimming pool?
- Does it have green space nearby to burn off some antsy energy?
- Does it have cable TV?
- How many beds do you need and what size will suit your family?
- Does it have a business center to look up last minute directions, first aid tips, or hours of attractions?
What are your suggestions for choosing a kid-friendly hotel?

and, number 11. Can you afford a suite so that you can actually stay up past the 7pm bedtime?
I hope you had a fun weekend!
