This is a post I wrote last year on this very day. The message is the same: it is time to prepare for the New Year!
My husband likes to keep the Christmas decorations up through New Year’s and every year, I think I will try to make it until then. However, the decorations that looked so pretty just a few days ago look terribly cluttered the day after Christmas. None of it means the same to me the day after Christmas. And so, once again, I will not be able to hold myself back this year from taking it down and clearing it away. I took a nap on Christmas day, and when I woke up, it was as if some sort of organizing switch was turned on inside. I began to scurry around, picking up things, sorting through things, and writing a few immediate tasks down on my To Do List. Here are a few of those tasks.
What things are on your list of Things To Do post-Christmas? What are your resolutions for 2010?
I really like your list now I just need to get it going…..
I do have a few things on your list done!

i’m ready to get my stuff packed away right now.

It’s always so sad to me to pack up Christmas! I will be glad to have my house back in order, but I will wait until the first weekend in Jan. Since we don’t start decorating for Christmas until the first Sat in Dec, I only get to see the special stuff for a month each year.
Thanks for such a great list to get me started (when I’m ready). :)
@juliebavi
Thank you for this list to “get started” list, I love putting away Christmas and moving forward…this will be very helpful for me and also the busy moms I help support!
