It is a duty to our country and to our children to get involved in the matters that affect us deeply. In particular, we have a Presidential race that is already the topic of the day. Be glad for a system of checks and balances, but resist the urge to become complacent.
- Research the parties’ platforms (list the pros and cons of each).
- Research the candidates (lists the pros and cons of each).
- Register to vote and save the date of November 4, 2008.
- Check into CNN on TV or online to stay abreast.
- Attend a rally.
- Talk up voting to friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
- Volunteer for a campaign.
- Volunteer with financial support (every dollar counts).
- Get your family involved.
- Support your candidate online (by blogging or in online communities).
