list of ways to use your leap day

Think of it as an opportunity to get a bonus 24 hours! Don’t try to do everything in this list all in one day, however. You’ll end up wishing your bonus day had never existed. Just try to do one or two of these.

  1. Catch up with old friends by phone, email, or write a few good, old-fashioned letters on pretty paper.
  2. Go through children’s clothes take inventory for the upcoming season.
  3. Plan meals for March.
  4. Snuggle under blankets with everyone’s favorite reads.
  5. Cook a couple of meals to get you through the weekend. Declare this weekend a No-Cook Weekend!
  6. Take stock of your Junk Drawer. Throw away what you don’t need or use.
  7. Sneak in a chance to “play”. Break out your hobby and work on it in the middle of the day.
  8. Take someone out for lunch today.
  9. Bake cookies all afternoon. (Be sure to have plenty of milk.)
  10. Update your memory books with the adorable things your kids have done lately.
