Maybe it goes back to my school days. There is just an energy among a group of young people on Fridays. The weekend is coming! Then in my “working” life, I couldn’t wait to be home for the weekend, where I could sit in my pjs all day if I wanted. Today, as a SAHM, I love Fridays for different reasons, but the feeling is the same.
- My sweet daughter will be home with us for 2 days.
- My charming husband will be off for the weekend.
- I’m tired of the old weekday routine. Weekend is around the corner.
- We usually order pizza, so I get a break from kitchen duties.
- I’ve never been a TV person – but I do love movies! Video tonight!!
- I have “help” on the weekend.
- I can put bookbags and dufflebags away and out of the entryway.
- Feels a little like we’re gearing up for something fun (we usually do something together that is fun on the weekend, even if it is just a hike).
- It feels like less is expected of me because a change seems inevitable.
- We get to “drag Main” for a couple of hours (oops, I reverted to my high school years for a moments – at today’s gas prices, that is only a distant memory).

LOL. I read Monday’s post first and then Friday’s post. Have to agree with it too. :) And the “drag Main” part…talk about Memories! We drug it so slow that top speed was about 5 mph. So you could talk to your friends that were passing by while hanging out the window, of course. :)
